Ground operations landscaping

Ground Operations Landscaping was formed as an informal lawn mowing business in 2001, while owner Nigel Park attended university. Nigel quickly saw a demand for the business and now GO Landscaping has blossomed into a well-respected Landscaping and Snow Removal service provider. Whether it be for a small residence, condo, or new construction, GO enjoys working with clientele to provide high quality property maintenance, landscaping and snow removal throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality. GO Landscaping continues to develop lasting relationships with property developers and managers, while looking toward the commercial and residential sectors to expand their client base. We love our job, we get to play in the dirt all day!        

Process

Shortly after contacting GO Landscaping a representative will make a scheduled visit to the site. Measurements will be taken and a plan will be devised. Some projects can be quoted on-site, while others may require further thought and will be emailed. The detailed quote will include a description of the work, materials involved, the total price, and an estimated time for completion. Once the job has been awarded to GO Landscaping a start and finish date will be decided upon and work will commence.  

Snow Removal

GO Landscaping provides commercial snow and ice clearing services during the frigid winter months.  Snow and ice activities commence as soon as practicable after an event begins.  To the extent possible, thoroughfares and walkways are kept clear.  Once the activity has stopped all measurements are taken to completely clear all areas of the lots including empty parking spaces, thoroughfares, and walkways.   

Staff

We maintain a high level of workmanship. Both owner and managing staff have completed the Occupational Health & Educational   Services, Manager/Supervisor Program. Our current and increasing crew are trained in, but not limited to; Landscape Horticulture, Heavy Equipment Operating, WHMIS, and First Aid. GO Landscaping holds a valid letter of good standing issued by the Workers Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, and all applicable liability and vehicle insurances.  We are proud to boast that we have never had a serious injury on the job!
